Alexandre Pantoja looks to be the next Nova Uniao product to make his way to the UFC. Pantoja is a striker, but has excellent BJJ to match. His takedown defense has improved as has his overall conditioning and technical skills. He’s still just 23 years old, but Pantoja is pretty much ready for his shot in the UFC. He’s recently tested himself against former Shooto Brazil champion Lincoln de Sa, and more than held his own against a very talented fighter. Pantoja is 12-1 since 2009, with his only loss coming to current UFC Flyweight Jussier Formiga. Pantoja is more of a technical striker, but he is more than willing to brawl. His transitions on the ground are excellent and he is a finisher when he smells blood in the water.
