10 Best MMA Flyweight Prospects of 2014

#8: Andrew Leone

If the Leone name looks familiar to MMA fans, it should be as Andrew Leone is the younger brother of current Bellator and former WEC fighter Anthony Leone. Andrew is quickly following in the footsteps of his older brother, and recently claimed his biggest career victory to date by defeating Shinichi “B.J.” Kojima in the One FC promotion. Leone is still a bit raw right now with his striking, but his wrestling and quickly-developing grappling game have made him one of the top Flyweight prospects in the world today. It should be noted that Leone missed weight for his last fight against Kojima, though he was able to make the 125 lbs. mark just one fight earlier. Andrew trains out of Phuket Top Team, which should be an ideal gym to continue and develop his overall game.
