10 Best MMA Flyweight Prospects of 2014

#10: Matt Manzanares

Matt Manzanares is quickly making his presence known amongst Flyweight prospects. He has been willing to take on all comers in pursuit of proving he belongs in the UFC. In the last year alone, he’s accepted fights with Sergio Pettis, Zach Makovsky, and Leandro Higo under the RFA banner. Though 2 of those fights ended up being scrapped, the fact remains that Manzanares is not afraid to test himself against the best in the business. Manzanares’ pro record is 7-2 overall, but he has a ton of amateur experience as well, and actually started his MMA career way back in 2009. Manzanares recently captured the vacant RFA Flyweight title after coming up short just six months prior to Makovsky. Manzanares is very quick, has good hands, proven conditioning, and is tough as nails.
