Phil Davis has won himself few fans as of late as he’s employed a notoriously conservative gameplan. Davis still relies heavily on his wrestling and though he has flashed some impressive submission skills, he has become more reliant on winning fights via decision. Davis was gifted a decision over Lyoto Machida, but nonetheless, it has vaulted him into the Top 5. Davis will need to show that he has grown since his 5-round decision loss to Rashad Evans.
