Ian McCall was likely one overtime round away from defeating Demetrious Johnson in the inaugural 4-man UFC Flyweight tournament. Though McCall eventually lost a rematch to Johnson, he must have some pride in knowing he’s not too far away from having what it takes to defeat the champion. Unfortunately, McCall has struggled as of late to get another crack at the Flyweight championship. He lost a decision to current title contender Joseph Benavidez and then struggled at times on route to defeat Iliarde Santos.
