Hello everyone! I truly appreciate your support for RankingMMA and my efforts towards providing in-depth MMA World Rankings. I started this site way back in 2006 (originally named MMAsurvival until 2009) as a huge MMA fan with absolutely no web design or blogging experience.
The first few years of the site I produced daily content from fight announcements, rankings, and fight card previews and analysis. That effort eventually slowed down as my career took off. Since then, I focused on some passion projects such as writing my first book, The World’s Top MMA Fighters in 2012 and the MMA Prospects Report in 2013. With a full-time job and family, my available time continued to shrink over the last 5 years. I just finished my MBA, so I am hoping that I will have some newfound time to start focusing my efforts on some entrepreneurial pursuits such as this site.
It has been an amazing experience to see the sport globalize. Over 30% of my site traffic now comes from outside North America. You must know that your support is what has kept me updating the site all these years.
The days of hoping I would be a talent scout or matchmaker for the UFC have long passed. I still hold out hope that Las Vegas will need me as an oddsmaker one day! Until that time, I will continue to provide the best MMA World Rankings for the last 13 years and counting.
For partnerships, affiliate marketing, questions, or feedback, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or leave a comment on the site.
Cheers,
DC

Hey man. My friends and I love your site and hope we can see more and one of them has his own rankings as well that I think you can appreciate. We’d love to help and keep this website up to date if you need some help. Hit me up if this is something we can help you do.
Hello D.C.,
I’m a longtime fan of all the rankings you’ve done over the years. I truly believe you understand ranking all of mma and not just the UFC better then anyone else. I normally check in after a big fight weekend to see who moved up and down on your page. Thats how i’ve noticed that you havn’t updated since UFC 283. Thats by far the longest Ive seen you take off in the years ive been checking in. If you can give any time frame of when you’ll be back to ranking id appreciate it. If not, Your work has been great and I wish you and your family great health and wealth.
De Ridder is ranked way too low on both middleweight and light heavyweight I think it’s a bit disrespectful to him and One FC to have him so low after how dominant he has been.
I’m interested in placing a permanent article with a text link to one of our combat sports apparel sites on rankingmma.com. I can assure you I have a brilliant writer to fit in the content to your site.
If possible let me know your price for it.
MMA is the best thing in Fights and I have learned many things about MMA from this site. keep it up and also tell about MMA cages https://alifightshop.com/mma/mma-cages-accessories/
Interested in selling this site?
All of the stats for the rankings are wrong for light weight atleast as that’s all I have looked at… most of them it says like 500/600 losses… which is clearly b@@@cold so if you wouldn’t mind getting someone in the IT or Admin department to fix it so the most important numbers on the website for the rankings which is the only reason we come on the website and they are so badly wrong they make it look like the Lightweight divisions top 3 fighters have more losses than everyone else in the entire ufc roster combined…
Not trying to be a dick but this is literally the only purpose of your website and the only thing I needed to be right.
Hi Alfie, I do not know what stats you are referencing. I just checked the rankings and all are updated without any of the issues you are mentioning.
D.C, I came across your site & instantly found that your rankings are not accurate for the lightweight division. Beneil Dariush isn’t even ranked on your list yet he is a the #6 lightweight in the Ufc. Very disrespectful to the fighters my man.
We all wanna see Makhachev fight the big boys! You want the mystique of Khabib? Put his guy against any of the top 3. Heck, put him against Conor! We’d love to see it. I realize none of the top guys want to fight him – he’s Khabib 2.0 – but he’s so good
Hi
You got the wrong picture of Mark Madsen. No 29 in mens lightweight division.
Best regards
You have RDA ages listed wong on his profile. Made him 28 years old
Hi, unfortunately all our fighter pages are currently down due to the plugin creator no longer supporting the custom post types. I am attempting to fix the glitch. Thank you for your patience.
Aleksandar Rakic is Serbian not Austrian.
Please change his flag.
Thank you
Hi Luka, thank you for your comment. I checked multiple sources, including the UFC’s own website and they all list Austria.

Amazing website dude! I can’t believe it has taken me so long to discover it, if you are doing this on your own I understand that it takes some time to keep up with but I think with some more exposure this could become really popular as the mma fan base grows, anyways awesome job dude!
Thank you Lewis, appreciate the kind words. Definitely a one man machine over here, so doing my best to provide in-depth rankings to the MMA community.
UPDATE tHe Fight Record of ALEX VOLKANOVSKI —-
Hi, in the Biography of Volkan Ozdemir is a serious mistake. You write that his father is turkish but that is wrong! His father is Kurdish from Turkey. He is not turkish, he just came from that part. Please correct it. In Wikipedia it is also written that he is kurdish with the correct link where he is saying it clearly. For you it might be no difference but for the kurdish people it makes a huge difference. Kurds are not Turks! Please correct it. Thank you
Greetings
I love your website. I noticed you only rank the top 25 or 15 fighters in each division, depending on the depth of the division. Why did you stop ranking all the fighters? You were doing such a great job.
Hi Migue, thank you for your feedback. It really came down to the difficulty with one of the web site plugins I use that forces me to have to manually re-number every division when there is a change. For a division like Flyweight or Heavyweight that is not a bit deal because there is only 20-40 fighters, but for a division like Lightweight, there are sometimes over 100 fighters ranked. That means I have to manually retype the ranking for each fighter when there has been an update. I can go back to ranking them all if that is everyone prefers. I would just hope to receive a few more comments like your own telling me they would rather have it that way. Thank you again for commenting!!
Cub Swanson Beat Kron. looking at featherweight rankings!
Hi,
In the lightweights ranking there is no name of Tofiq Musayev who is the recent Rizin Championship Lightweight winner. Please, correct it.
Felicia Spencer is Canadian not American.
Fixed, thank you for the catch
From what I can make of it, the Facebook site sucks if all you’re looking for is rankings.
What happened to Rose Namajunas at Straw weight? The UFC has her ranked #3 (rather absurd) but you don’t seem to have ranked at all, which is equally absurd.
She is ranked #7
Good job from you. Keep this site always because I love MMA !
