Travis Browne vs. Stefan Struve
Travis Browne(10-0-1) will face Stefan Struve(21-4) at UFC 130 according to MMAjunkie.
27th ranked heavyweight Travis Browne’s status as an elite prospect took a hit in his last fight with gatekeeper Cheick Kongo at UFC 120. Prior to UFC 120, Browne had won 9 of his 10 fights by stoppage, but failed to show a killer instinct to take out Kongo. Browne, still has powerful hands and should be a fighter to watch in the future.
Stefan Struve(ranked 28th HW) continues to show growth in the octagon, and at only 22-years old, he has a bright future ahead. Struve still struggles against knockout strikers and will have to work his submission game to find success against Browne.
Browne is known for his power and aggression, but he showed patience in his fight with Kongo, and it cost him. Fighting patiently against Struve would be a mistake as well because the longer this fight goes, the better chance Struve has to take this fight to the ground and use his long limbs. If Browne rushes Struve like Junior Dos Santos, it’s an easy win, but it’s all about Browne’s gameplan. I’ll go with Struve’s 25-fight experience in this one, though if Browne connects it’s over.
