Nam Phan vs. Leonard Garcia
Nam Phan(15-8) and Leonard Garcia(15-6-1) will lock horns one more time, as they both look to put the judging debacle at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale behind them. The bout is expected to take place UFC Fight Night 24 according to MMAweekly.
Their last fight ended with a split decision victory for Garcia that drew the ire of fans, Dana White, and Joe Rogan. The decision drew so much attention that NSAC representative Keith Kizer was forced to address the incompetency of the judges serving on the commission.
Phan was an underdog coming into the initial bout, but was able to avoid Garcia’s power shots for the most part and pick his spots on route to a fairly clear-cut 29-28 decision, until the scorecards were read which started a chain of events that is not good for the future of mixed martial arts.
