Michael McDonald vs. Nick Pace

MMAjunkie has reported that Michael McDonald(11-1) will face Nick Pace(6-1) at UFC Fight Night 24.

McDonald had been considered one of the top bantamweight free agents in the world following his win over Cole Escovedo in 2010. WEC quickly took notice of the budding star in the making and signed him to a contract. McDonald debuted at WEC 52 and submitted Clint Godfrey in the 1st round. It’s only a sign of things to come for the talented youngster.

Nick Pace is also a promising prospect, who previously appeared in Ring of Combat and Bellator. Pace gained some notoriety for his recent submission victory over Will Campuzano where he implemented his very own submission move, “The Pace Choke.”

I do think McDonald is the more complete fighter at this point in their careers, but both fighters should be considered future stars of the bantamweight division. This is virtually a pick’em fight.
