John Hathaway vs. Kris McCray

England’s top prospect John Hathaway(14-1) will face TUF 11 runner-up Kris McCray(5-2) at UFC Fight 24 according to MMAweekly.

Hathaway(ranked #25 WW) was one win away from breaking into the top 10 of the welterweight division, until Mike Pyle foiled his plans at UFC 120. Up until then, Hathaway had run through current contenders Diego Sanchez and Rick Story. Hathaway’s long-term future looks to be at middleweight as he’s still young and has a large frame capable of adding additional muscle.

McCray struggled in his last fight, being submitted in the 1st round by Carlos Eduardo Rocha. McCray could be on the chopping block if he does not put up a solid fight.
