Brian Foster vs. Sean Pierson

Exciting welterweight prospect Brian Foster(15-5) will face Canadian Sean Pierson(11-4) at UFC 129 according to MMajunkie.

31st ranked Foster is looking to make the move from prospect to contender with a win over Pierson. He’s strung together 2 straight wins and knows that he will likely be fighting on Spike TV’s undercard.

Sean Pierson(ranked 43rd) stepped up late to challenge Matt Riddle at UFC 124, and in a bit of an upset defeated the talented wrestler. Now, Pierson will have the Canadian audience behind him once again as the longtime veteran looks to make an improbable run in the UFC’s welterweight divsion.

Foster has an explosive style that could pose problems for the more technical Pierson. This is a tough fight to call, as Foster has struggled against tough competition thus far in his short career. Pierson was a virtual unknown coming in to the Riddle fight, but I think Foster will do his homework and come away with a close victory.
