Featherweight Top 100 world MMA rankings (#91-100)

– Top 100 MMA Featherweight Rankings –

Our Top 100 Featherweight world MMA rankings are complete. Instead of releasing the Top 100 fighters in the 145 division all at once, we will release 10 rankings each day, for the next 10 days, starting at the bottom.

It has taken a few weeks to pour through footage of old WEC, PRIDE, Deep, Shooto, Pancrase, Sengoku, Dream, Brazilian fight scene, European/British fight scene, USA independents, Tachi-PF, and current UFC events. I was surprised to find that there is a ton of talent at 145. Some of the fighters that did not make the Top 100 could be legitimate top 10 talent in the next few years. As the UFC continues to promote their lighter divisions, we should see many of these fighters facing off more often in order to catch the eye of Joe Silva. In addition, many of these names may be featured on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter 13. The thing I noticed most about compiling the rankings for the 125, 135, and 145 division is how many times these lighter fighters are fighting above their natural weight classes. It has led to a lot of losses on many records that have probably withheld talent from getting a shot in the bigger promotions.
Sengoku and Dream held huge tournaments that helped define our current rankings, as has the history of the WEC. Now with all 3 promotions facing a possible demise(WEC already happened), all the world’s best talent are basically considered free agents, barring the fighters currently in the UFC. Outside of the UFC signing some marquee talent from Japan, possibly Hioki soon, opportunities look to be slim for today’s featherweight fighters. Hopefully, a promotion is able to step up and give many of these fighters a forum to fight the best on a regular basis.

So, without further ado, here are #91-100 in our featherweight rankings.
