Tim Hague cut by UFC

Tim Hague(12-5) may be one of the top heavyweights in Canada, but unfortunately he is not considered one of the top heavyweights in the world. So, with the UFC on a roster-cutting frenzy, Hague was not spared the axe following his 1st round TKO loss to Matt Mitrione.

Hague was on his 3rd run with the UFC and has been unable to beat the lower tier part of the heavyweight division. He has hinted at a future move to 205, but he may be best served developing a stronger ground game and gathering experience on the independent scene. He has heavy hands already, and would likely lack the athleticism needed to be a top 205-fighter.
