Francisco Drinaldo vs. Rodrigo Damm

Francisco Drinaldo(7-1) was on the verge of being the next breakout star from Brazil, until he was submitted by recent UFC acquisition Yuri Alcantara at Jungle Fight 22. Alcantara ended up with the UFC contract, while Drinaldo continues to fight in virtual anonymity. Drinaldo will look to change his circumstances as faces former Sengoku fighter Rodrigo Damm(9-4) at Jungle Fight 25.

Drinaldo, nicknamed “Massaranduba,” hails from a very poor region of Brazil. He would be best served cutting to 145 once he reaches the UFC, but with a logjam of fighters currently on the UFC roster, Drinaldo will likely have to continue and fight in Brazil until Joe Silva realizes this prospect is too good to pass up.

Damm is definitely a tough test for Drinaldo. Damm has recently run into a slew of tough competition like Gilbert Melendez and Maximo Blanco that has left him with a 1-3 record in his last 4 fights.
