Antonio McKee cut by UFC

Antonio McKee(25-4-2) will not be winning any UFC titles in the near future, after he was surprisingly released by the UFC following a split decision loss to Jacob Volkmann at UFC 125 according to 5ozofpain.

McKee entered the UFC with quite the underground following due to his impressive record and wrestling ability, which many thought would translate to success inside the octagon. Volkmann though, put a quick stop to the hype, as he used his own wrestling abilities to keep Mckee from mounting any significant offense all fight. Both fighters were booed after their performances, and with an overabundance of lightweights on the UFC roster, the UFC have decided to cut ties with “Mandingo.”
