John Makdessi vs. Jonathan Brookins

Diverse striker John Makdessi(8-0) will step back into the octagon against TUF 12 winner Jonathan Brookins(12-3) at UFC 129 according to BloodyElbow.

Makdessi was not a known commodity until he unleashed his striking arsenal on Pat Audinwood at UFC 124. Since then, fans have marked their calendars for the next showing of one of the UFC’s brightest prospects at lightweight.

Brookins, won’t have the luxury of a gimme fight, despite being crowned a TUF winner. I’m sure Joe Silva is smart enough to know something we don’t though, and that is the ground game, or lack thereof, of John Makdessi. My guess is Brookins takes Makdessi down early and submits him.
