Bantamweight title contender Joseph Benavidez(13-2) will make his UFC debut against Ian Loveland(14-7) at UFC 128.

Benavidez has proven to be one of the top bantamweights in the world, yet he has been unable to solve the riddle known as Dominick Cruz. Benavidez will have to wait for another shot at gold, as the UFC is probably in no hurry to book Cruz-Benavidez III, but with the UFC recently signing Kid Yamamoto, big fights are in Benavidez’s future.

Loveland is coming off a win over Tyler Toner at featherweight, but he will be making the cut to 135. Loveland will be a heavy underdog in this fight and will have to use his reach advantage in order to have any shot at unseating the compact Benavidez.
