Hard-hitting welterweight Matt Brown(11-10) looks to get back in the win column against Mark Scanlon(7-1) at UFC on Versus 3 according to Heavy.

Matt Brown is walking on thin ice after losing his last 3 fights. He was somehow able to survive the UFC’s recent rounds of cuts, despite possessing an overall record hovering around .500. Brown does have a fighting style that makes fans cheer, and he has proven to Zuffa that he will put on a good fight, win or lose. This time though, a win is necessary to keep him employed.

Scanlon made his UFC debut against Pascal Krauss and showed a ton of heart, but ultimately came out empty-handed as far as victories. This should be an entertaining fight, and I think Scanlon’s athleticism could give him the edge in this one if he can avoid Brown’s power shots.
