Jon Madsen vs. Mike Russow

TUF 10 participant Jon Madsen(6-0) will face veteran Mike Russow(13-1) at UFC Fight Night 24 according to MMAweekly.

24th ranked heavyweight Jon Madsen has surprised many pundits with his 4-fight win streak in the octagon. Madsen has proven to be a legitimate prospect, primarily utilizing his wrestling. Madsen’s only loss was to Brendan Schaub during the TUF 10 tapings.

Mike Russow(ranked 25th) may not be the most exciting heavyweight in the division, but he brought fans to their feet with his stunning knockout of Todd Duffee. Russow is also known for his wrestling and submissions, and could be on his way to the top 10 with a win over Madsen.

We are all familiar with what happens when two similarly-skilled wrestlers face off. So, expect the better striker of the two to take this fight. Russow has shown power in his strikes, and has proven to have the much better chin.
