The UFC signed Featherweight prospect Clay Collard today. Collard replaces Mirsad Bektic, who was set to face Max Holloway this weekend at UFC Fight Night 49.
Collard was on my prospect radar, and was right around the Top 25-30 range. He’s only 21 years-old, but he has already managed to score a 2013 decision victory over UFC veteran Justin Buchholz. He’s 9-1 since 2011, with his only loss being avenged. Collard fights out of Utah, and comes from The Pit Elevated Fight Team, which is home to Josh Burkman, Steven Siler, and Court McGee.
