Mamed Khalidov vs. Yuki Sasaki

Polish middleweight star Mamed Khalidov(20-4-2) will face Japanese legend Yuki Sasaki(22-18-1) at Sengoku:Soul of Fight.

Khalidov(ranked 32nd) has been one of the most hidden gems in MMA, despite posting 20 wins, which includes a TKO victory over top 10 middleweight Jorge Santiago. Khalidov turned down offers to join the UFC, instead preferring to fight in his native Poland and Japan’s Sengoku. Khalidov toed the middleweight top 10 following his win over Santiago, but he lost the sequel fight, and then fought to a draw with Ryuta Sakurai, a fight in which he was supposed to be a huge favorite. He needs to have an impressive showing against Sasaki in order to be a part of Japan’s fading MMA scene. He will be returning to KSW following this fight and can hopefully propel Polish MMA to the forefront of European MMA.
